What is the right way to behave at work?

Whether at work, at home or on the road – these are the rules to follow.
Even in times of a pandemic, we want to do our work as best we can. To do this as safely as possible, the same principles apply everywhere: Keep your distance (min. 1.5 meters), cough/sneeze only into the crook of your arm and wash your hands regularly as well as more frequently.

“Keeping your distance” is also particularly important at work as the highest principle, but it cannot be observed everywhere. Then the following applies: Wear a mouth guard! Transparent partitions can also provide the necessary protection here. In addition, regular ventilation of the workplace must be ensured.

Incidentally, the employer determines the necessary infection protection measures for safe working. During the pandemic, for example, this means generally using telephone and video conferencing instead of business trips and face-to-face meetings. But there are also more specific regulations that only affect a certain part of the workforce – for example, on construction sites or for the use of tools and PPE.

In addition, there are special features or even company-specific measures in every company, such as adapted working and break times or markings on traffic routes.

Our Fully Integrated EHS Solution can help you in staying open and keeping you and your colleagues safe and healthy.

With its sam® 360 (Training, Certifications & Instructions), Risk Assessment and Survey & Audit Modules can systematically operationalize 4 of the 9 Guiding Principles i.e. Hazard Assessment, Hygiene, Training, and Controls for OSHA’s Guidance on Returning to Work.

For example, do your employees know what to do in the event of symptoms at the workplace? Or how to administer “first aid” correctly and safely during a pandemic? Here, too, you as an employer or manager have a duty to instruct.

To be able to fulfill this obligation comprehensively and verifiably, and at the same time “contactlessly”, is almost impossible without browser-based software such as sam®.

Questions about working in the pandemic with the sam® instruction system:

Definitely – and even demonstrably so. Whether you want to assign new instruction topics due to changed rules and regulations or update risk assessments: All this can be done with just a few clicks and is then documented in an audit-proof manner.

Can EHS software improve occupational health and safety even in the age of Corona?

Yes, with a browser-based instruction system such as sam®, this is also possible at any time – flexible in terms of time and location, as best suits the times of “home schooling”.

Can I also carry out my briefings from home?

Of course – the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has issued a special “SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Safety Rule” that must be observed. In addition, any stricter company-specific rules and measures must also be observed.

Do the occupational safety rules also apply during the pandemic?

This can be achieved with an effective effectiveness check. A sophisticated system of questions checks whether the knowledge transfer was actually successful and then confirms this.

How can I be sure that my employees have really understood all the measures?

Working in a pandemic means that direct personal contact must be avoided as far as possible – this also includes personal instruction. With the sam® occupational health and safety system, you can easily handle almost all your instructions electronically, despite the pandemic and home office.

How can sam® contribute to my protection?

With sam® you always keep an eye on everything important. Are my employees informed about the latest regulations, what is the current training status, is there a need for action? – All this information is available at any time – clearly arranged and always up-to-date.

How can sam® support managers during the pandemic?
